Listowel Fair Beef Show Results

Lana Kraus of Gowanstown was named Champion Showman at the Listowel Fair Beef Show last weekend.

Reserve Champion was Brandon Weppler of Lucknow.

Kraus and Weppler also came in first and second in the Senior Showmanship category.

Top Junior Showman - Garrett McNabb of Chatsworth - got an honourable mention in the Champion judging.

Bill Jackson of Caledon showed the Champion Calf in the competition.

The Reserve Champion Calf was shown by Gilchrist Farms of Lucknow.

And Grace Kuhl of Tara showed the first place Market Animal in this year's Listowel Fair Beef Show.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
