GBFW Award To New Mildmay Veterinary Clinic Vet

A veterinarian from Mildmay is the winner of this year's Grey Bruce Farmers' Week prize.

Doctor Stephanie Bilato received the one thousand dollar award at this summer's Ontario Veterinary College convocation ceremony.

The prize recognizes new vets who will be serving producers in the Grey and Bruce Counties.

Grey Bruce Farmers' Week is in it's 50th year.

Organisers say handing out the award for the past eight summers gives the committee a chance to give something back to the community.

Bilato now works at the Mildmay Veterinary Clinic with both large and small animals and says she's enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with the people of Bruce County.
