Service Helps Ontario Farmers Buy, Sell Hay And Straw

The Ontario Forage Council believes it's Ontario Hay Listings Service may be extra important this year.

They describe it as an efficient and effective way to buy and sell hay and straw.

The Council says that during this growing season, drought conditions can potentially have a severe impact on many sectors.

Though most producers reported near average yields of first cut, the Council notes many are now concerned about a severe shortage of second cut.

The site was originally launched in 2008 and has been designed for slower internet speeds to help its rural customer base.

The free postings can be found at ontariohaylistings.ca.
