Opening Available For New CDC Commissioner

The Canadian Dairy Commission has an opening for a new member.

The CDC administers national dairy programs, working with industry stakeholders like the Dairy Farmers of Canada, Dairy Processors Association of Canada, the Consumers Association of Canada and provincial milk marketing boards and agencies.

Commission members work 36 to 50 days a year, including Commission meetings and meetings of the Canadian Milk Supply Management Committee.

Candidate qualifications include having significant experience in the dairy production sector and a degree from a recognized university in a relevant field of study or an acceptable combination of equivalent education, job-related training and/or experience.

Deadline for applications is August 17th.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
