Major U-S Grain Conditions Holding Steady

The American corn and soybean crop conditions are unchanged from a week ago.

Corn is at 74 per cent good to excellent - 5 points better than a year ago.

Soybeans are 9 points better than last year at 72 per cent good to excellent.

The U-S spring wheat has slipped to 66 per cent good to excellent - down 2 points from the week before, 4 points below last year.

48 per cent of that spring wheat crop has been harvested, 18 points better than the five year average, 2 points ahead of last year.

The U-S winter wheat crop is 97 per cent harvested - up 2 points from the five year average, 2 points behind last year's pace.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
