CCA Announces 2016 TESA Winner

A Saskatchewan farm is this year's winner of the Canadian Cattlemen's Association's TESA.

TESA stands for The Environmental Stewardship Award.

Anderson Ranch of Fir Mountain, Saskatchewan, is run by Miles and Sheri Anderson.

It includes private holdings and large provincial grazing leases.

CCA spokesman Bob Lowe says the relationships the Andersons have built between the conservation and agriculture communities to work together on Species At Risk habitat are truly unique.

The national winner is selected annually from provincial winners, which this year included Ontario's Bryan, Cathy and Joe Gilvesy of Norfolk County.
