Program to Rid Farms of Unwanted Materials Starting Soon

Farmers can soon get rid of leftover pesticides and unwanted livestock medication at a number of designated collection sites.

CleanFARMS has joined forces with the Canadian Animal Health Institute to set up the collection program.

Pesticides accepted are identified with a pest control product number on the label.

Livestock meds used by primary producers can also be taken in.

If you have any doubts about whether the product you're disposing of qualifies, you can call 1-877-622-4460 ext. 2223.

There are 40 dropoffs across the province starting September 20th.

For dates and locations visit cleanfarms.ca.

The next CleanFARMS program will run in the fall of 2019.
