OSCIA Accepting Submissions For Soil Champion

The Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association is now taking submissions for next year's Soil Champion Award.

The award recognizes those promoting sustainable soil management.

Nominees must be either engaged in practical agriculture which contributes to sustainable productivity of soil, or researchers working towards advancing soil health and production.

Typical contestants use full-surface non-inversion tillage that goes no deeper than two inches, and is done no more than every third year.

The winner will be announced at the OSCIA's annual meeting in February.

The submission deadline for the Soil Champion Award is September 1st.
