Potential Record U.S. Corn Crop Rating Down This Week

The condition of America's potential record-breaking corn crop is down slightly from a week ago.

The USDA rates the current crop at 74 per cent good to excellent.

That's down 1 point from last week's rating but still up 6 per cent from a year ago.

Soybeans remain rated at 73 per cent good to excellent.

That's up 10 per cent from this time last year.

The department notes 91 per cent of the U.S. spring wheat crop is now off.

The current pace is 1 per cent behind that of 2015, and a full 16 per cent ahead of the five year average.
