Canadian Wheat Stocks Down

There may have been a bumper wheat harvest across Ontario this summer but as of July 31st, Canada's stock is down compared to last year.

Statistics Canada reports a decrease of nearly 27 per cent from a year ago.

That's after a 32.2 decline in stocks from 2014 to 2015.

National wheat stocks are down by 5.2 million tonnes.

StatsCan reports Alberta had the steepest drop of all the provinces at 44 per cent.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
