2017 IPM Preparations Already Well Underway

The 2016 plowing match has wrapped up in Wellington County, but gates for the 2017 edition open in exactly 51 weeks.

With just 50 kilometers separating the two events, Huron County welcomed the tractor cross-county convoy into town on Sunday for an special dinner and concert at the Brussels Arena.

Emily Morrison, Marketing and Promotions for IPM 2017, says spending the week in Minto was a great opportunity for next year's organizers to find out what works works well (and not so well) in setting up such a large venue.

Morrison notes the close proximity was a bonus for 2017 as most volunteers were able to make the trip to Minto to see the most recent edition of the rural expo for themselves.

She adds something new for next year's IPM will be the inclusion of the Brussels Fall Fair as part of the festivities.
