AAFC Taking Applications For Internship Program

Starting today, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada will accept applications for 65 agricultural internships.

The Career Focus Program is for Canadian graduates to provide experience and a chance at a career in the ag sector.

AAFC says $864,000 is available for farms and businesses to hire those graduating from agriculture, agri-food science or veterinary programs.

The organization also strongly encourages those interested to apply early.

Projects for funding must begin on or after April 1st of next year.

The deadline for application is November 30th.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
