DFC Unveils New Logo

Trying to build the brand of the nation's dairy products, the Dairy Farmers of Canada have unveiled a new logo.

DFC says the new blue cow has been designed to be eye-catching and easy to understand to create a stronger identity while building a better relationship between farmers and consumers.

In Ottawa as part of the unveiling, Dairy Farmers of Ontario Chair Ralph Dietrich weighed in on the topic.

"The main reason for the change was to make ourselves more visible on packages from processors for our consumers," said Dietrich.

"We want to be recognized as a Canadian product so that consumers can see it and make that choice."

DFC President Wally Smith adds the new standing cow and prominent maple leaf helps to truly differentiate Canada's Dairy Sector from all others.
