Sprucedale Agromart Expansion Approved

Plans to expand the Sprucedale Agromart operation between Walkerton and Hanover were approved by Brockton Council last night.

The agri-business -- which blends fertilizer and provides various crop protection products – would see an additional building added, to be used for equipment storage along with a new warehouse section for fertilizer blending and storage.

While no issues have been found concerning environmental impact, the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority feels the lot may contain habitats for endangered or threatened species.

Prior to moving forward with the addition, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry would have to be contacted to identify any possible endangered or threatened species and how to be deal with them.
