Nominations Open For Ontario's Outstanding Young Farmer

Now's your chance to give recognition to an exceptional young farmer.

Nominations are currently being taken for the title of Ontario's Outstanding Young Farmer.

The Outstanding Young Farmers Program is aimed at acknowledging farmers and farm couples who excel in their industry.

Nominees must be farm operators between 18 and 39 and derive at least two-thirds of their income from farming.

Nominations can be submitted by anyone until January 15th.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
