Sustain Ontario Looking For Donations For Farm And Food Programs

Today is "Giving Tuesday".

Sustain Ontario says the day is about giving back and contributing to groups that make a difference, including a series of initiatives the organization is involved with.

One such project is aimed at protecting Ontario's Farmland.

Sustain Ontario points out the 2011 census on agriculture shows a loss of 350 acres of farmland every day in the province.

Donations will go towards organizations providing support and education for farmland preservation.

Other projects include food strategies and resources for children about healthy eating and locally produced food.
