Frelighsburg Experimental Farm Online In The Spring

The Government of Canada has announced an expansion in its research efforts into managing water and soil resources.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Lawrence MacAulay says the work at AAFC's Frelighsburg Experimental Farm will be done in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including universities, growers and various governments.

Minister MacAulay feels the research will help farmers match production to an increasing population.

He adds protecting the environment while boosting production is a win for farmers and Canadians.

Researchers at the Quebec-based facility will begin work on new techniques of precision farming and crop management in the spring.
