Agropur Cooperative Announces New President

Agropur Cooperative has a new head.

The dairy industry leader announced Rene Moreau as its President on Friday.

Moreau takes over from Serge Riendeau, who's retiring after 15 years as President and 26 years as a director.

The Warwick, Quebec dairy farmer says Riendeau has left him a cooperative that's in great shape.

He notes Agropur has seen remarkable growth in recent years and is strongly positioned for continued development.

Moreau has been on the company's board since 1998 and was named Vice President five years ago.

Agropur currently has 3,345 members and 8,000 employees and generated nearly six billion dollars in sales last year.
