Canadian Ag Outlook To Be Released

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is set to release the 2017 Canadian Agricultural Outlook Friday.

The report will provide a forecast of farm income in the agricultural sector for the previous and current calendar years, 2016 and 2017, and looks ahead to longer term trends that could impact the agriculture sector.

In 2016, the Canadian Agriculture outlook showed 2015 was a banner year for farm income and 2016 was to stay above the average set between 2010-2014.

Factors included a low Canadian dollar and an increase in global trade.

The Canadian Agricultural Outlook will be released at 1:00pm Friday.
