CRSB Opens Window For Strategic Framework Consultation

Over the last two years the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef has been working with industry stakeholders and members to develop sustainability indicators for beef production.

The group says those indicators are part of a developing framework, and will help verify sustainable practices on individual beef operations.

CRSB Chair Cherie Copithorne-Barnes says the feedback received on the first draft will be used to build the second version, which provides more detail.

She believes that the additional indicators provided in the second draft will provide a well-rounded system for continuous improvement.

The organization wants producers and the public to provide final comments on the updated version.

The final consultation window is open from now until April 1st.
