Monsanto Taking Applications For Scholarships

Monsanto Canada is now taking scholarship applications from grade 12 students looking to further their education in agriculture or a food-related program.

65 scholarships worth $1,500 each will be made available through the Monsanto Fund.

Kelly Funke, Monsanto Canada's public affairs manager, says people often think about farm and food separately, even though they are both very much intertwined.

She notes a goal of the scholarship program is to see how young people from both sides of the industry will shape the future of farm and food.

Since the program started in 1991, more than $1.8 million in corporate funds has gone to student scholarships.

Applications will be taken until June 15th.

Forms and full details are available online at www.monsanto.ca.
