The Chair of Huron County's Economic Development Board says agriculture has always been a key driver of the economy in Huron County.
But Jim Lynn says a lot of people in the industry feel it's time to look at how they can add value to their products.
Lynn points out that technology has progressed to the point where Huron County producers can now communicate with and ship to larger markets like Stratford, Kitchener or Toronto and into the U-S.
Huron County producers have shown themselves to be innovative and willing to take advantage of that technology.
Lynn adds there has always been a group of young innovators in agriculture that are looking for new products or adding value to their existing products.
The Economic Development Board is looking for ways to connect with those groups.
