Survey To Gather Information About Cow-Calf Farms

Beef farmers have until April 30 to contribute to the Cow-Calf Production Survey that is taking a look at several factors of the industry.

The 76 question survey is being done by the University of Guelph in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Beef Farmers of Ontario and the Beef Cattle Research Council.

The information being gathered is to gain a better understanding of the management practices, economics, and disease rates on Ontario cow-calf farms.

It will also determine how well Ontario producers compete in a global economy.

Some of the issues it will look at including production practices, management choices, disease rates, and rate of technology adaptation in the province.
