Food & Beverage Growth

The sector has seen an average increase of 3.2% over the last three years, which is a full 2% stronger then the manufacturing sector.

The sector produced goods valued at over $114-billion in 2016, which accounts for close to 2% of the national GDP, and 250,000 jobs nationwide, many in rural and agricultural areas.

Canada exports food products to more than 180 countries, and although 74 percent of exports are detined for the United States, opportunities in other markets, like China, are growing.
