Rise In Severe Weather Predicted To Begin Shortly

Weather experts are predicting a rise in severe weather this summer in Southwestern Ontario.
Rounds of thunderstorms are more likely in July & August, as a lack of humidity due to cold fronts passing through the region on a regular basis. Water temperatures on the Great Lakes have a major impact on climate in Ontario as well as the Northeastern United States.
A mild spring and lack of surface ice over lakes suggests this area's climate will warm up rapidly.
Ontario temperatures at the beginning of May are expected to be one-or-two degrees lower than average for this time of the year, but are projected to rise sharply towards the end of the month.
