Canada Seeks To Implement Food Policy

Consultations have been launched to support the development of a Canadian food policy.

The policy will be the first of it's kind for Canada, and is a new step in the government's mandate to take a collaborative approach to addressing food-related issues in Canada.

An online survey is now available at www.canada.ca/food-policy where Canadians are encouraged to share input in order to help shape a food policy that will cover the entire system, farm to farm.

The major themes of the survey are increasing access to affordable food, improving health and food safety, conserving our soil, water and air, as well as growing more high-quality food.
