New Hamburg farmer Harold Rudy has been named as the latest inductee into the Canadian Soil Conservation Hall of fame. Rudy grew up and continues to live in New Hamburg with his partner Sandra, and has been assisting farmers in all aspects of soil conservation for several years. Rudy has earned the respect of his peers in government and university research. He is currently working on a booked titled "The Soil Fixers", which documents contributions to Ontario agriculture by OSCIA members since the mid 1980's. The Canadian Conservation Hall of Fame was established in 1990, and has inducted 30 Canadians who have made a significant contribution through their dedication to promote soil conservation in Canada.
