Celebrating Agriculture

Today is Canada Agriculture Day.

You may see a lot of messages about agriculture on social media including #CdnAgDay.

And there are a number of events across the country, including Ottawa where the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Lawrence MacAulay, will launch federal programs and activities under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

The programs are designed to help the agriculture and food sector innovate, grow and prosper.

That announcement will be at 3:45pm today.

Currently, Canada is the world’s fifth largest agricultural exporter.
