GFO: Member OF Grain Growers Canada

Grain Farmers of Ontario is now a member of Grain Growers of Canada, a group committed to influencing federal policy on behalf of grain farmers.

Markus Haerle, chair of Grain Farmers of Ontario, attended the AGM and was elected the Vice-Chair of GGC. District 9 director, Mark Brock also attended, as did Barry Senft, CEO, and Crosby Devitt, vice president of strategic development.

Haerle spoke to GGC meeting attendees at a dinner on August 2 at Woodrill Farm. Dinner guests also heard from new Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Ernie Hardeman, Lloyd Longfield, MP for Guelph, and Michael Chong, MP for Wellington-Halton Hills. District 5 director, Scott Persall and District 10 director, Henry Van Ankum, also attended the dinner.

Grain Farmers of Ontario invited dinner attendees to tour the Growing Connections trailer and see the Grain Discovery Zone trailer.
