OFA President takes on another role

The Canadian Federation of Agriculture has a new executive team and it includes the president of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.

Keith Currie, who is head of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, won the election for first vice-president of the CFA.

And for the first time in 84-years, the CFA has its first woman as president, Mary Robinson.

Her resume includes former president of the Prince Edward Island Federation of Agriculture and chairwoman of the Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council.

She takes over for Ron Bonnett who has stepped down after nine years in the president's role.

Chris van den Heuvel, former head of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture, was elected as second vice-president.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
