$1.6M in grants approved for farms and agri-business projects in Huron-Bruce

Farms and agri-food businesses in Huron and Bruce counties will receive over $1.6M in grants from a joint provincial/federal program to help improve business operations.

Huron-Bruce MPP and Minister of Government and Consumer Services Lisa Thompson says 72 projects have been approved, with most awarded in any electoral riding in Ontario. The approved projects range from creating better animal housing and improved ventilation in barns, to tree planting for wind breaks and erosion control. Thompson added that Huron-Burce is home to some of the best agricultural lands and operations in th entire country.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
