Grey Bruce Farmers Week set

Grey Bruce Farmers Week is ready to go, virtually.

The week long event starts with Trade Show Day on Tuesday. It's an opportunity for participants to engage with sponsors and exhibitors directly between 10 a.m. and noon and 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Then on the following commodity days, sponsors and exhibitors will be available between 9 and 11 a.m.

Commodity days start on Wednesday, January 6 with Beef Day.

That will be followed by several days of features that will include goats, sheep, horses, an ecological day and a crops day.

During each day, there will be presentations in real-time, as well as pre-recorded presentations which will be posted and viewed anytime.

Live feeds will also be available to review 48 hours after the presentation.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
