National grain review consultations on Friday

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada will be hosting virtual Town Hall engagement sessions as part of consultations on the Canada Grain Act review.

The sessions are being held to allow grain farmers and other sector stakeholders to share their views with officials as part of the CGA review process.

The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will provide brief introductory remarks on the Government of Canada's commitment to review the CGA with the goal of modernizing the Act to ensure Canada remains competitive in the global marketplace.

Information on the CGA and its associated regulations that provide the framework for Canada's grain quality assurance system can be found on Agriculture Canada's website at agr.gc.ca.

And that's also where those interested can sign up for Friday's town hall.

The English session is scheduled to run 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
