Highway 3 Reconstruction Open House

The Ministry of Transportation will be looking for comment tonight on reconstruction plans for Hwy. 3.

The road will be torn up next year between County Rd. 34 and County Rd. 27 in Kingsville, which could include the closure of the road for the majority of next summer.

Kingsville Mayor Nelson Santos wants to know what detours will be in place, so the town can prepare. "We want to alert the residents of the increased traffic as well as additional patrols we'd be seeking from our police. We want to ensure people continue to abide by the rules, especially near some of the denser residential areas."

The open house is at the Kingsville Arena Complex and lasts from 5pm-7pm.
