Spitfires Cleaning Up Defence

Coming off a 4-3 loss to the London Knights last Saturday, the Windsor Spitfires are preparing for a home game against the Attack.

Game time at the WFCU Centre is 7:05pm Thursday.

The last meeting between the Spitfires and Owen Sound ended in a 5-4 loss for Windsor. Head coach Bob Boughner wants to see the same kind of game, with a different result. "We want to be forceful on the attack. We want to be strong on the forecheck, and obviously we want to score some goals when we get the chance."

The Spitfires meet the Knights again Friday at Budweiser Gardens ahead of Saturday's game in Owen Sound.

Boughner says the Knights made short work of the Spitfires' breakdowns. "They're a good team at capitalizing on breakdowns," he says. "We've just got to clean up our defensive zone a little bit and we're working on that this week."
