Stunt Driver Arrested On 401

Provincial police in Chatham-Kent have a BMW SUV in their possession for a week.

Officers were conducting a radar enforcement on Hwy. 401 near Currie Rd. in Elgin County yesterday morning. Police say they clocked a BMW going 157 km/h in a 100 km/h zone around 10:30am yesterday.

In addition to seizing the Brampton man's licence and vehicle for seven days under the stunt driving legislation, the 35-year-old is charged with failing to produce an insurance card.

He'll appear in court at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
