Maroons Shutout Stars

The Chatham Maroons now have six victories in a row under their belt after defeating the St. Thomas Stars in a 4-0 shutout game.

On Sunday, the Maroons scored two unanswered goals in the first period and two more in the second to give them the win. Neither team scored in the third. The Maroons also out shot the Stars 37-23.

Jared Dennis was lead scorer for Chatham with two goals. Trevor Richardson and Brennan Feasey each scored one.

Chatham is back on the ice on Wednesday to take on the LaSalle Vipers at 7pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
