Firearm Charges In Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are holding a 59-year-old man for a bail hearing on allegations of unauthorized and unsafe possession of firearms.

Police say they received information yesterday afternoon related to firearms issues.

When they investigated, officers seized two handguns, two shotguns, five rifles and a BB gun, as well as ammunition.

The man faces a number of firearms-related charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
