Union Gas Helps United Way

Union Gas has raised $634,580 for United Way Chatham-Kent.

This year's total exceeds donations from last year by over $25,000. "Every year that they do as much as they do...it comes from the top down," says United Way Chatham-Kent Co-Chair Margery Muharrem. "It's amazing and I'm just floored to be honest."

The announcement was made during a presentation at the company's headquarters in Chatham. "It really pulls all the employees into the campaign," says president Stephen Baker, speaking about the special events put on to raise money for United Way. "Gets them involved, gets them energized and its just fantastic to see that result for the community."

Chatham's contribution will be added to the corporate campaign total, bringing in $1,019,921 across Ontario.
