Local Dancers In Music Video

A number of local dancers are featured in the latest music video for Canadian artist Shawn Mendes.

Last month, about 20 dancers from PURE Academy in Chatham were invited to come to Toronto to be backup dancers in the music video for the song "Something Big."

"It's very fast-paced and at the same time it's very slow-paced as well," says Corey Mariuz, owner of PURE Academy. "They needed to understand that they were just a small cog in the wheel of a way bigger picture, so we were there all day. It's amazing how much time they have to put in for really, only a two-minute music video."

The music video for Mendes' previous single "Life Of the Party" has over 9-million views on YouTube.
