Lakers Fall To Sharks

The Wheatley Sharks fought their way back from a 1-0 deficit to beat the Wallaceburg Lakers 3-1 on Saturday.

Lakers forward Jackson Gray scored the first goal of the game after ten minutes into the first period to take the lead. After no scoring in the second, the Lakers continued their lead into the third, but that's when Sharks changed he tide of the game. Wheatley scored three goals before the end of the final 20 minutes to put them ahead of Wallaceburg.

Austin Thompson, Brian Johnson and Mike Reid each scored one goal for the Sharks.

The Lakers take on the Lakeshore Canadiens Wednesday night at 7:30pm and the Sharks are back on Sunday to take on the Blenheim Blades at 7:15pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
