Expected OFSAA Economic Boost

The Kingsville BIA is expecting a boost for local business thanks to hosting the OFSAA high school basketball championships.

Roughly 400 students, coaches and families from across Ontario will be in town for the tournament. It begins Thursday and wraps up on Saturday.

BIA Coordinator Sarah Holland says they've provided information for the welcome bags going to each player. "We're hoping as the students are here that maybe they'll take some time out and look in our stores and eat in one of our great restaurants. Hopefully, they'll also consider coming back for a visit with their families."

Kingsville District and John McGregor Secondary School from Chatham are representing southwestern Ontario at the tournament.
