Two Forged Cheque Arrests

Chatham-Kent police saw two separate forged document incidents at the Money Mart on Queen St.

On Saturday around 10:30am, police received a call about a forged cheque showing up at the location. When police arrived on scene, multiple officers had to restrain one of the patrons who became combative.

At around 12pm police got a call from the same location for a similar situation.

Now two men, aged 20 and 37, have been charged with uttering a forged document. The 20-year-old also faces a charge of resisting arrest, and has been held for bail.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
