No Leamington Decision This Week

The Erie-St. Clair LHIN board won't be holding another meeting in Leamington until January.

It was originally expected a meeting this Thursday would be held in the town, with the board making a decision on the future of the Leamington District Memorial Hospital obstetrics program.

Instead, the meeting will take place at the network's Chatham boardroom. A timeline for an expert panel to study the maternity ward will likely be set.

LHIN officials don't expect a decision to be made until some time in January.
