New Head Coach For Maroons

The new head coach for the Chatham Maroons says he's ready for the challenge.

Tyler Roeszler was promoted to his new position after former coach Mark Davis stepped down due to work demands. Prior to his new appointment, the 26-year-old was the Maroons' associate coach under Davis for the last year and a half.

He says being only a few years older than some of the players allows him to better relate to his team.

"We've got really good guys, really respectful kids in our locker room and at the end of the day I think they know I'm going to do what's in the best interest of the team and for the individual," says Roeszler. "I think that guys respect that."

The Maroons have also added Jeff MacDougald to the staff as an assistant coach.
