Police Arrest Donation Box Thief

Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest after two donation boxes were stolen from a McDonald's restaurant in Chatham.

Police say someone broke into the Richmond St. restaurant in the early morning hours of October 12 and stole two donation boxes with about $40 in each of them.

The damage done during the break-in is estimated at almost $1,000.

Police arrested a 45-year-old Chatham man last night. He's now charged with mischief under $5,000 and break and enter.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
