Shopping Safely On Cyber Monday

Chatham-Kent police are issuing some safety tips as the online holiday shopping season gears up.

Police have a few safety tips in particular for online shoppers:

- Don't shop online using public Wi-Fi

- Only buy from well-known credible retailers

- Ensure the site is verified before you make a purchase

- Closely monitor your bank and credit card accounts

- Check your statements line by line for questionable charges

Police also add that if you suspect your credit card information may have been compromised, you should call your financial institution immediately.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
