Student Nutrition Donation

Students in Chatham-Kent will continue eating nutritious food thanks in part to a $7,800 donation from the Noelle's Gift Foundation.

The donation was made this morning at Holy Family school in Wallaceburg and the school's principal says she see's first hand the value of having healthy snacks every day.

"This is very essential for our students, we know they are getting good nutrition throughout the day so they are more prepared and more alert to learn," she says. "All the students are pretty excited about having fresh fruit and vegetables, for some of them this is the first time they've seen these fresh fruits and vegetables."

Chatham-Kent Student Nutrition Program Coordinator Elaine Lewis says the money will provide 8,000 meals for students.
