Essex Downs Canadiens

The Essex 73's and Lakeshore Canadiens are headed in opposite directions.

Essex won their third straight, getting by Lakeshore 7-2. The loss is the Canadiens' third straight.

Lakeshore jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period before Essex scored seven unanswered goals to close out the win.

Matthew Rosati led the 73's with two goals and an assist, while teammate William Stadder and Phil Janikowski added a goal and an assist.

Essex is off until next Tuesday when they host Alvinston. Lakeshore is back on the ice tonight when they head to Mooretown.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
