Arson Suspected Near Bothwell

Fire officials suspect arson in an overnight fire just south of the Thames River on Little John Rd.

The Bothwell unit responded to the call shortly before 11pm and found a vacant structure fully engulfed upon arrival.

Damage is estimated at about $1,000.

Assistant Fire Chief Rick Arnel says it took about an hour and a half to extinquish.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
